Home & Garden Expo . . .

D & T
Date #12

D and I used this week's date for a little home improvement brainstorming.  We have need of some landscaping in the backyard, along with a fence and few other needs/wants.  We also have big plans to remodel our front room/kitchen one of these years.  So we went to the Home and Garden Expo without the kiddos to get serious and meet some of the professionals that we will need to help us with all our BIG ideas.  Admittedly, its easy to have eyes way bigger than the pocketbook, but its fun to dream about the "someday" stuff and get quotes and help with the "near future/realistic" stuff.   There were some pretty random booths - like body vibraters (FORGOT the camera - DUH!!) and we entered in to watch some 90 min. presentation for a "free vacation" - so that may be a date night in the future - and we scored some free carpet/upholstry cleaner!  Pretty productive and really fun couple of hours!  :)

  1. I've always wanted to go to one of those shows. Awesome that you got some free stuff!! Free is always good! I'd love to see your house one of these days and see what your guys' plans are too.

  2. I would give money to see your booties vibrate like that again........it was SO FUNNY. Don't worry--there wasn't any "jiggling" involved, per se. Just great vibrating.

And the carpet cleaner rocks. WootWoot!

  3. we really wanted to go, but got a little busy that day. sounds like it was a good time. especially productive to you, being in a house and all. i wanted to go, just to get an idea of what's available or popular right now, so that when we buy a house someday, i'll have SOME ideas.

ps if any of you girls see this comment, i was thinking of this tuesday as a possibility for the wally ball repeat date. does that work for anyone?

  4. We had kind of already planned to do The Chocolate and games Thursday night. You guys are invited, of course, and we had already invited a few other people. Grovers, you guys are obviously invited, too.

But if everyone is anxious to do wallyball, maybe we could do wallyball NEXT week? Or maybe we can do The Chocolate NEXT week. Whatev. we just need to make arrangements with babysitters.

  5. Mindy - PLEASE come see the house and I am dying to see your too! We just got a little portable fire pit so one of these days (when it actually really warms up) we will have a little bonfire and do smores. That could even be a date night!

Carrie - I LOVE WALLYBALL and am DYING to play!!! I don't think this week will work out though (babysitter and scheduling conflict), but lets keep trying!!!
