Top o' the mornin' to ya!

B+C
Date #9
(Dinner and a movie with a twist)
Breakfast and a classic movie

For date #9, we dropped one kid at school, the other two at a friend's house,
and enjoyed a nice, quiet breakfast at Jamba Juice.

Fruit Toppers and a yummy Blueberry Streusel Muffin

Then we headed to the Scera Theatre, to see one of their 'CINEMA CLASSICS'.

We saw 'Walk, Don't Run', starring Carey Grant (his last film, 1966), for just $2 each, plus free popcorn.

SO CUTE!! First of all, we were the youngest ones there. We were surrounded on all sides, by 70-somethings. What a fun group! The women in the back were laughing so hard, they could hardly contain themselves.

But other than the atmosphere, the movie was so cute! I think there's something very refreshing about old movies. This was funny and romantic in a whole new way! A great alternative to dinner and a movie.

  1. Fun!! I have been eyeing the ads for those classic movies, wishing I could go, but that would never do with little kids in tow. That looks like a fun date to me! Love it.

  2. I think WE were supposed to watch your kids on this date!!! What the?!

I love old movies. My parents do too. I'm sure that one day we'll be watching YOU'VE GOT MAIL or WHILE YOU WERE SLEEPING when we're old and grey and WE will be the girlies laughing in the back at how cute they were back then....

    Great date idea!

  3. oh, thanks Jessie! you were so nice to offer on friday and we just did our home date instead (crochet) since it didn't work out.

i just asked one of B's work buddies to babysit because they're on the same crew and therefore have the same schedule. that way he was home too, so his wife wasn't left to watch 6 kids on her own. AND they live in that area, so i just thought this was easier.

but i think YOU need to take better advantage of US. i feel like you're always watching my kids. : )
